Position Description

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Juli Bai, Assistant Professor of the Department of Cell Systems & Anatomy, Long School of Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research in elucidating the molecular and signaling mechanism underlying the intricate interplay between innate immune regulation and metabolic diseases, practically nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases such as NAFL, NASH and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The successful applicant will carry out research independently and receive training in cutting-edge research on metabolic disorders, as well as career development skills. The position is funded by a grant from NIH. Attractive stipend and fringe benefits will be offered. The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is a Tier One research institution, and the department enjoys a dynamic research program that offers opportunities for multidisciplinary collaborative investigation. Applicants with experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, metabolism, liver diseases, immune diseases, physiology, or related areas are encouraged to apply. New graduates with a doctoral degree are particularly welcome to apply.
