Position Description
This postdoctoral fellow position will involve working in collaboration with Dr. Winifred Mak (Principal investigator) on a NIH funded research project titled: The genome integrity and epigenome of sperm from men with recurrent pregnancy loss. This project is to elucidate if there are differences in the sperm of men with recurrent pregnancy loss.
The position will involve working collaboratively with research assistant, supervising trainees such as clinical fellows and graduate students; carrying out the analysis of the human sperm collected for this study such as perform Comet analysis, Double-stranded break sequencing (DSB-seq), DNA methylation arrays and sperm histone retention assays as well as intellectual contribution to the interpretation of the data and drafting of manuscripts.
Position Requirements
PhD in molecular biology with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience with handling sperm and basic sperm biology is desired. Training on the research techniques will be given and will require travel to a collaborating lab for training on specific techniques.
