Position Description
An exciting postdoctoral research fellow position in cancer metabolism is available in the
laboratory of Dr. Lingtao Jin, Associate Professor, Department of Molecular Medicine, UT Health
San Antonio (https://directory.uthscsa.edu/academics/profile/jinl1). We are interested in how
metabolic signaling, particularly in mitochondria, regulates cancer initiation, progression, and
responses to therapies. Our study focuses on translational research with ultimate goals to develop
novel therapeutic strategies. We routinely utilize many state-of-the-art techniques in the lab such
as targeted/untargeted metabolomics, quantitative proteomics, different NGS-based assays, as
well as clinical relevant animal models for lung cancer. Please see some of our related work:

San Antonio is one of the fastest growing cities. UT Health San Antonio is the largest university
of health science in South Texas. The affiliated Mays Cancer Center is an NCI-designated
cancer center. A competitive salary (higher than NIH standard) and benefits package will be provided.
Position Requirements
Successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree with solid background of cell biology,
pharmacology, and immunology. Experience with metabolic analysis and animal models of
