Position Description
One Postdoctoral Fellow position in electrophysiology/patch clamping is available immediately to study the mechanisms of calcium signals generated by storeoperated channels in both excitable and non-excitable tissues. Our research employs a variety of tools including electrophysiology and cell and molecular biological techniques. Experiments will involve a complimentary use of whole-cell and single-channel patch clamps, and calcium imaging. These projects are ideal for highly motivated individuals with demonstrated experience in patch clamp, which will be preferred.
Position Requirements
Three years of funding is currently available with the possibility of renewal upon future funding. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and is based on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the guidelines for the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA). San Antonio, TX offers a
