Position Description
STRONG STAR is seeking a competent and motivated postdoctoral psychology fellow(s) to serve as a research therapist in support of funded studies treating PTSD and comorbid disorders in active duty military Service Members and Veterans. This position will support the STRONG STAR clinics either in San Antonio or at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. Under the leadership of the UT Health San Antonio, the STRONG STAR Consortium is a multi - institutional, multidisciplinary research group of over 150 collaborating national scientists and clinicians funded by the DoD, the Department of Veterans Affairs, The National institutes of Health, and private foundations to develop and evaluation approaches for the prevention and treatment of combat-related PTSD and other deployment related psychological health conditions.
Position Requirements
Qualifications for this position include a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology. Previous experience with military service members, veterans, or beneficiaries, prior experience working on a psychiatric inpatient ward or treating patients with suicidal behavior are preferred but all applications are welcomed.
